  1. Warburton not even in the squad. That’s interesting. Overall though glad to see we’re now balancing selection rather than playing a second XV against so called minnows. We need to beat Fiji and, to be honest (but I’m not counting any chickens or dismissing the challenge) beat them well.

I remember the last time we put an oft overlooked 10 choice on the bench against Fiji. That didn’t go well.

    1. Well the cupboard’s a bit bare at the moment..Biggar out..Matthew Morgan.+ Patchell injured.

Hook is a mercurial player and like Richard Nixon (or Tony Blair) you either luv him or hate him.

As opposed to P++sland who everyone other than WG hates!

  2. JD not even in the squad ? thought he was tipped to be fit ? if he is fit he should be in….. needs game time before the ‘big’ tests.

  3. I take it this is partly a development squad. No Warbs, or James. Phillips starting is a puzzle. But hopefully that is just to controll the game for hte first half. then get the new R Williams on for some experience.

I heard JD2 has not yet recovered from injury.

Still find Lidiate baffling. You cant argue with (was it?) 21 tackles. But he just does not seem to bring anything else to the game.

Given that Gatland seems to hate Hook, and often will not play him even off the bench, it is puzzling why he bothers selecting him for these. I have also not yet worked out why Gats has not yet called up Owen Williams. Personally I would put him only just behind Biggar. And with possibly more potential. (having a deja vu that I have made exactly this point previously).

  4. My God the excuses Gatland is making for P++sland are incredible.

WG must be the only one in Wales happy that the useless No10 is in the Wales team for Saturday.

Even the crowd at the Millennium on Saturday were showing their disapproval so more fool Gats for picking him.

I’d rather see Hilary Hook in the team that P++sland.

What shame P++sland didn’t quit international rugby because he is total and utter cr+p.

  5. Please could these deeply offensive comments regarding one of our Welsh boys be removed. This ProphetEnoch person is entitled to his view but needs to be civil. He is letting the nation down far more than anyone on the field. Shame on him.

Good Luck Wales. Please disregard all trolls.
