Did not see the ball in the first ten minutes of the game despite putting himself in good positions. When George was yellow carded then off for a further 10 mins whilst Hartley was on as the replacement hooker. How can you judge a players potential on so little game time?

Wigglesworth’s age doesn’t matter as (rightly or wrongly) all roads only lead as far as the World Cup.

Only 23 get in the squad the the match day, and if the coach thinks the best 23 doesn’t include someone, then he gets omitted.

He didn’t impress against Japan, and to be honest that may have been the sort of game one would have expected to see him shine.

If Hughes plays on Saturday I think he needs a big game, as it does appear that Jones’ knife has been sharpened.

It smacks of desperation where there is none and slights other more reliable players. it’s one dimensional thinking too.
(waits for barrage of outrage from Tiger’s fans!)

Not sure why Francis, would have stuck with Marchant personally.

if he does a no show on saturday, then sadly, I think it may be time to look elsewhere for a weighty centre for the 6n and the W Cup. It’s sad because he is a true one off but how much rope do you give a player with his injury record?

Seems very odd and that position could have gone to another centre – with less of an injury prone past – to develop as an apprentice or more for future.
Or alternatively this is a tactical masterclass in subterfuge from Jones and Manu has been training all along and is the bolt on 1st team starter at 12 come the world cup but EJ is playing his card close to his chest and wont reveal this ‘knock out punch’ until the World cup warm up’s at the earliest!!! (if you didnt read all that with your tongue firmly applied to your cheek go back and do so again!)
