  1. North’s was a beauty but we know he can do that… Wade or Watson for me- two brilliant kicks, however Wade’s shades it- Ford should be able to do a perfect kick (and perfect it was), but Johnson has no right to be able to thread a grubber like that! Especially after breaking the line like a runaway freight-train

  2. Lindsay-Hague skinning Topsy Ojo is worth a mention I think, but it has to be North. The spin and side step in one smooth move was simply world class. He’s becoming a bit of a Campese in his array of scoring ability, especially when you consider with his size and bulk.

  3. A lot of great tries to choose from the weekend’s games. I’m surprised to not see Myler’s chip in to Pisi which was inch perfect from both players and MelĂ©’s try from Barbieri’s bunny hop. In comparison, I thought Monye’s try was just a bit average.

North’s try here was brilliant and Ford’s brilliant cross kick was immense, but I think the unexpectedness of the perfect kick from Johnson (and he put a few in in the game) wins it for me

  4. I’m not knocking North’s footwork, but he could have quite easily just plowed through the last defender and over the line, the build up play however, could make it worth the top spot.

For me, given the overall competition within the game, Wade’s second try does it for me. Glorious play by Johnson

  5. I think Lindsey-Hague’s try was much better than Monye’s. Not sure who selected these, but with hat-tricks from at least two other players not on this list, I’m surprised there are not tries from Tigers or Sarries.
