I watch Saints week in week out and truely believe that tactically he would benefit the squad – his reading of the opposition is elite compared to most other players. Has Dows done something in a previous life to upset the forwards coach?!?! What will it take to get him a cap? Think he should be given a chance to prove himself.

I think this call-up should benefit him though…unlikely to get much game time, but being in and around the squad can’t hurt, and should stand him in good stead when he does get a cap.

He’d be pretty handy off the bench this autumn, particularly against the Aussie scrum!

It’s hard to believe when you look at him that “The Thing From The Swamp” only just turned 20! I just hope for his, Harlequins, and Englands sake that he is allowed to develop properly, rather than rushed into the squad. He could be one of the backbone of a seriously strong England pack in a few years if he keeps injuries to a minimum and continues to develop his game

I’d like to see Dan get some match time and then hit the 6 Nations running. I am very looking forward to the next 6 moths of pre-world cup rugby for England.

DWS seems to be regarded as a lock now, which I’m not convinced about, but otherwise, can’t complain at Wood and Marler being involved. Top players and should be heavily involved in the future.
