It’s going to be a long time before people forget those Autumn International tickets. And maybe that’s not fair on the players, but they weren’t quick to criticize the IRFU. As for Ulster taking down Saints, not going to happen. They’ve played well to get here, but it’s come by taking down a poor Bath side and beating Biarritz in favourable conditions in Ravenhill. Saints at home are a different prospect – Leinster, Leicester and Saints have been playing a different brand of rugby to any other team in Ireland and Britain this year. Even without Ashton and Lawes back I’d expect a home win – if they’re back, writing’s on the wall. ]]>By: richardhttp://www.therugbyblog.com/heineken-cup-amlin-challenge-cup-quarter-finals-and-semi-final-draw#comment-22222 Mon, 24 Jan 2011 20:35:51 +0000http://www.therugbyblog.co.uk/?p=8073#comment-22222saints was the best out come for ulster think they can handle their style of play !!! leinster all the way i hope if we have 2 irish semi finals alot of money for irfu :P ]]>By: Fed Flintstonehttp://www.therugbyblog.com/heineken-cup-amlin-challenge-cup-quarter-finals-and-semi-final-draw#comment-22198 Mon, 24 Jan 2011 14:13:52 +0000http://www.therugbyblog.co.uk/?p=8073#comment-22198Saints do not have a good chance to make it to Cardiff. Ulster wil make Saints their BITCH, they will go down like a cheap whore. ]]>By: Hughhttp://www.therugbyblog.com/heineken-cup-amlin-challenge-cup-quarter-finals-and-semi-final-draw#comment-22189 Mon, 24 Jan 2011 02:07:31 +0000http://www.therugbyblog.co.uk/?p=8073#comment-22189What a competition! Look at those 4 matches. I’d expect Saints and Perpignan to do the business at home, but the others are a little trickier. Leinster should win if they keep up anything like their current form, but Leicester are always a team to avoid. As for Toulouse, they’re just very very good. So far, they’ve only done what’s needed, and I’d fancy them to do just the same again. Biarritz haven’t been as good as last year from the handful of games I’ve seen, and Toulouse just have so much strength. Probably depends on how the 6 Nations go – see how angry countries are or, more importantly, who’s injured. Anyone know when Lawes and Ashton are back? Also, home semi for the winner of Saints/Ulster. Gives Saints a great chance to make it to Cardiff. ]]>
