If he knows he is going to call up x number of players, why not do so at the earliest opportunity to allow him to maximise time for players to acclimatise to different time zones and have a greater number of players to choose from – this the B&I Lions, not your local seconds who need and extra player.
That’s not to say these 4 Welsh players wouldn’t be called up on merit alone.
