I’m confused about the omission of Lawes. And even more confused about where Tadhg Furlong’s name is?
Also, Elliot Daly, who I thought was close to Launchbury as England’s best player all tournament.
Furlong picked it up against England and he’d be my choice for the Lions, but he wasn’t his impressive self against either Scotland or Wales.
Launchbury should be a shoo in for this. Started only because Kruis and Robshaw weren’t fit (presuming that EJ would have left Itoje in the second row), but won two mom awards, played outstandingly in all the other games and has gone from rank outsider to pretty well inked in Lions first choice. Great tackler, decent hands, carries OK and organises defence close to the breakdown superbly. Also rarely gives away penalties and is going as well at the end of a game as at the beginning. Can’t think of any team that would not want him.
What about the French scrum half Serin I wish England had one half as good

He actually had a v.good championship statistically and if some people don’t like the ‘metres made statistics’ then take his consistency and if you don’t like that take his ‘men beaten’ and if not that then his sheer bloody belligerence and if not that…..
