Very entertaining and exciting game. Played at breathtaking speed. France had many chances to put this game away but crucial knock ons and great Scottish defence denied them .Scotland themselves created a few chances and when was last time We saw Scotland run the ball and create chances through their back line?Very enjoyable with France just about deserving the narrow win.
I wish I could agree with billy above but I wasn’t impressed. I didn’t feel either team played especially well and the running game we got to see wasn’t created out of skill but opposition weakness, neither team seemed to cover there holes and they will get punished by other teams for it. The Italians (assuming they keep 15men on the pitch) could of withstood most of what was on show.
french point of view:
Unpleasant game to watch. Poor performance from both teams. Scotland made many unprofessional mistakes. France lack “balls” and ambition so they did almost nothing but trying to penetrate in the midfield. PSA has no vision, no strategy and his players are lost, missing alternative plans and clear ideas of what to do.
Scotland scored 1, and France wasn’t able to do so, facing a less powerfull side. A draw would’nt have been unfair.
I’d say that France look insidiously good, there were a huge number of knock ons but in interesting positions. I noticed that it was the back row often knocking the ball on if they eradicate that they could be dangerous. a large number of the knock ons were with the line half breached on the offload etc
also im fairly sure its illegal to bring on 2 people in the place of one in the front row…….
