This should be a great game with the two sides picked, the pick of all the warmups so far. Circumstances have combined to make this a cracking watch for the neutral (or rather for the ones who are closely watching England and therefore would rather they won this, just…).

Neither side will want to lose – not “must win” but nobody wants to go into the WC on the back of two defeats in a row. On the plus side the winner of this will get some excellent battle experience this weekend. I’d say England have to win – have to start of with Twickers being a fortress, etc. I expect them to win by less than a score, even against this excellent Irish team.

I agree Geat.Graham Henry says England have no momentum.I think that sums up the heart of the problem in a nutshell-And that is down to the lack of quality leadership at the top.

Aptly though, we need to up our game by 100% from the Paris performance…

That’s a strong Ireland side who will feel they have something to prove, England will need to up their game by 30% since last week or they will come undone, ‘Fortress Twickenham’ or not !. Can’t wait for this one now …..

Or take some solace in the fact that our defence has been pretty good on the last 2 matches despite out fwds not showing up. If our fwds put in a performance I think we’ll be fine, and they should at least be fired up for this.

I need to find some comfort from somewhere, so I’ll take solace in the fact Bomber’s biggest home defeat is 8 (New Zealand), whilst the average is 4.6.
