He doesn’t have a bad game, and he plays nearly every week!

Burger has been instrumental for Sarries and is the pinnacle of ruggedness. Less than a minute into the season he gets his head stamped on, no retaliation, not even a sub, and just back from serious injury too. He’s like Allianz Park’s very own superman, IMO Sarries most influential player. Very surprised he’s not leading the poll.

And Goneva has deputised Leicester’s
midfield brilliantly in Manu’s absence, almost seamlessly too. And whatever position he’s in, he seems to score tries for fun.

Of the two I voted for Burger, despite being a Leicester fan.

I know Brown and Foden are ahead in terms of England, and Goode is for his versatility but personally I think Pennell should be ahead of Tait, Watson and Miller for the 15 shirt. Even Daly. And I apparently am president of the Daly fan club given how often I mention him.

I’ve voted for Burger though. After coming back from a reasonably serious injury, he could be forgiven for not being the player he was, but he has thrown himself right back in making some seriously big hits, and also some great chopping tackles. Getting his head trampled on and his hair pulled, and never taking a backward step.

Completely agree about him getting Player of the Tournament for the 6N, but has he been that good in Aviva games only? Surely someone like Dave Ward should be in with a shout.

His form has been consistently outstanding in a frankly underperforming Worcester side. He’s created, scored tries, kicked their penalties and conversions and made more than one try saving tackle. The guy deserves premiership rugby next season.

He’s been superb this season for Sale, arguably better even than Braid imho
