squad that reached to Super rugby finals.
The loss of their captain and now departure of Kriel to Gloucester play a major role in the teams disappointing performances.SA rugby due to political reasons and exchange rate is
hemorrhaging players no country can afford and still be competitive at international stage.
Our main competition the Currie cup ,the oldest competition in the rugby world, has now been slashed in half,in order to provide for a more competitive competition.
NZ rugby and to a lesser extent are able to recruit from poorer South Sea Islands to compensate for their player loss due to the lure
of the British pound and Euro. This may be beneficial to local teams, but I have yet to see
this benefit in the French and Italian international sides.

I am happy with your confidence towards Jaguares, they are improving, but they still need to win in New Zealand. I think there will be no surprise this weekend. Regards from Argentina

Congrats on the little one!!!

Picks looks solid, yet as we have seen on so many previous occasions, it’s only solid when you get that allusive GSP point. I think Blues and Jags will be the deciding factor this weekend…

The picks looks good although I have the Bulls as my upset pick, i feel like this game against the H’landers will be season defining for them in grabbing the Nr2 spot behind the Lions. Hope I can get my second GSP… #FINGERSCROSSED

No comments on the article as I haven’t been paying much attention to the start of SR this year.

I have similar results picks, apart from Bulls v Highlanders; I’m throwing caution to the wind and going for a (narrow) home win at Loftus.

Picks look solid. I only missed the lions game last week. Lesson learned. Your picks look solid. My only convern is Jags. They are getting better every game and the blues are no where near their countrymen. I went Jags as my “upset” for the weekend although im not sure how much of an upset it will be

Never thought the Aussies were going to win. The guys at my local won’t be happy about that. I have followed your blob from round 1, thank you

Two teams likely to cause an upset are the Reds
and Jaguares. Jaguares are most likely because the Blues forward play is not up to standard.Reds midfield could pose threat to lions defense.
