Yes. For TRIES funnily enough. The S18 have adopted a 3 try clear of the oppo system to encourage teams to keep trying (no pun intended) rather than to shut up shop after 4 tries are scored as in the previous system.
Makes sense to me. Must improve teams’ ambition & ability to score more points… which helps win games. IOW, it’s effective.
That system has been in place for a couple of years in France nothing new
Yes as in terms of level pegging on points the better team should come out on top by adding bonus points to wins etc.
So the team that wins 25-10 scoring 4 tries gets a bonus over the team that wins 9-6 etc. makes sense.
