I agree with you, but not really the Rugby Blog’s fault, I think BT Sport put it down as a Frank Sinatra song.

I’m not sure what makes you think ‘Mack The Knife’ is Frank Sinatra’s song. For start he didn’t write it, but that’s sort of irrelevant as he didn’t write any songs but you could be forgiven for saying that ‘My Way’ was his song. But not ‘Mack The Knife’. This song was famously sung, popularized and defined by Bobby Darin. Kevin Spacey even made a film about it.

Sure, Frank Sinatra sang a version, but it’s not well known as being one of his songs. That’s like saying ‘Hallelujah’ is an Alexandra Burke song.

I know I’m being pedantic, but it’s a glaring error to call it his song… and hey isn’t that what blogs are for?

Just an observation – but isn’t it normal to put a “sponsored article” or something on things like this?

I’m not complaining about you being in bed with BT – everyone’s got to eat, it helps keep the blog alive, etc. but shouldn’t it be clear when it’s a sponsored article?
