It’s the ultimate team sport, where no individual can be that awesome without a huge amount of support from his/her teammates.

Presenting the award to someone based on the opinions of cretins who are arsing about on Twitter when they should be concentrating on watching the game is an even worse idea. Especially when you consider the number of twitter users from each country and the time zone relative to when games are played.
