1 – Beno Obano (Bath)
Obano showed once again that he could be an England EPS squad member soon with a resounding performance at the Rec, scoring a try in the first minute and holding his own in the scrum against Marcel van der Merwe.
2 – Roman Ruffenach (Montpellier)
The Frenchman deputising for the impressing Bismarck du Plessis, barged his way over for a try from close range and was solid set-piece wise for the rest of the game.
3 – Dmitri Arhip (Ospreys)
Barged his way over to score a great team try in the corner and was solid set-piece wise in the scrum and in the lineout. Robust stuff from the Moldovan.
4 – Joe Launchbury (Wasps)
Lead his team from the front extremely well, tackled his heart out and also showcased his worth at the breakdown, making a crucial to prevent a La Rochelle try.
5 – Samu Manoa (Toulon)
His physicality proved invaluable for big-spending Toulon as his try from close-range salvaged a losing bonus point for his side.
6 – Peter O’Mahoney (Munster)
Excelled in the sheer ferocity that was the Tigers v Munster match, making an immense effort in defence and had two line out steals in an man-of-the-match performance.
7 – François Louw (Bath)
Louw was at his riveting best on Saturday, deputising impressively in the hugely noticeable absence of Faletau by carrying strongly and outmatching his rivals in the breakdown.
8 – Leone Nakarawa (Racing)
His class and unbelievable skill-set ball in hand enabled Racing to get a home bonus point win with a great individual try to his name.
9 – John Cooney (Ulster)
Gareth Davies was again brilliant for Scarlets but he was against weaker opposition therefore my scrumhalf goes to Ulster’s John Cooney who was sensational at the tee at the Ravenhill, kicking 22 points and scoring a try to get an impressive bonus point win over a spirited Harlequins.
10 – Ian Keatley (Munster)
Keatley was astutely sound from the tee as his boot slowly but surely punished Leicester for their high penalty count and also lead his troops well in open play.
11 – Isa Nacewa (Leinster)
Nacewa rescued Leinster from the jaws of defeat with his boot and, as captain, constantly tested Exeter with his skill set in attack.
12 – Robbie Henshaw (Leinster)
Henshaw, as you would now expect of the Leinster man, put in a considerable number of tackles and made ground on all of his carries.
13 – François Steyn (Montpellier)
The former Springbok was very impressive on Friday, being top-notch from the tee, as you would come to expect from the South African, and also impressed in defence and attack.
14 – Nemani Nadalo (Montpellier)
Nadalo was once again a powerful beast to contend with on Friday night, scoring one try and setting up another after a bulldozing run.
15 – Antony Watson (Bath)
Watson was pure class for Bath on Saturday scoring two slick tries that scythed Toulon’s defence and was competitive under the high ball, another complete performance that once again proved he can play fullback at the highest level.
