As you know by now, we are hilarious, and you should be following us on Facebook and Twitter. Google+ seems like a waste of time, so no need to worry about that.
Gave it a 6, was quite disappointed. Far to many handling errors which caused huge disappointment. Saw a few issues with Amos but to be fair his handling errors generally came from pressure whereas Cuthbert was just shocking when he did get the ball, no wonder they didn’t involve him to much – heavily disappointed in him after I put aside my dislike for him for the match.
5pts from the game though, I’m still faithful this group wont come down to points so the +45 we finished up isn’t a huge issue so far as I’m concerned its more about the issues were saw.
Poor kicking to touch, Biggar can cover that, so I’m not concerned on that front. Knock-ons can be fixed during the training before next weekends match, removing Cuthbert will be key here (please gatland I’m begging you Amos/North pls!)
Just a matter of refining and bringing in some of the first-stringers for the England game and it’ll be a good contest, no prediction that we’ll beat England by 30+ etc but I think it’ll be a good contest and whoever loses will get the -7 bonus point. Still gonna remain faithful to my lads, they can do it.
Despite this their are positives, the only uruquay points came during the nervy 20minutes. Amos showed he can move inside and show some creativity, good set pieces for the most part. It looks like our strengths (set pieces) are England’s weaknesses and vice-versa with the handling.
Thought Wales looked nervous early on which is understandable, it seems like whoever corrects issues in training this week stands a very good chance on Saturday. Strong set piece though which is a worry for England I think. Any news on the injuries and how they might impact on the selections for next week?
After watching the first half of NZ v Arg we (Eng + Wales) look very poor compared to their rugby & no threat to the SH domination of RWC.
Col, agreeing at the moment but Wales traditionally slow starters, and I think England following the same pattern, so we’ll wait and see.
Hard to tell much from that match. Wales did what they needed to do. Handling errors and injuries the downside. Will wait to see how bad the injuries could be. Makes the Moriarty call us seem even more risky. Most of the incoming players including Amos and Davies looked good. Tip uric excellent as usual and still won’t start next week. All to play for next week. No idea who is going to win that one!
wales were very poor. gatland has had 4 years to build a squad, he neglected to do it instead he stuck to main core of players. no strength in depth so unfortunate injuries means he has no cover. poor planning. after looking at wales and eng its aus to take the group. gatland slammed ire for playing no rugby but i know which match i would watch again and its not this one. wales and eng have serious struggles ahead. its a toss up which of them comes second.
Hmm. Uruguay looked pretty good for amateurs, certainly better than Canada, who are professional? But Wales have to be disappointed by that performance surely? Cuthbert looked awful. A certain prophet will have had an enurism watching that.
Both England and Wales have put in disjointed displays. The difference being that the England team will be similar next week and so will hopefully be a bit more cohesive. Wales will be putting out a completely different side, one that won’t have played for 3 weeks. A risk? Maybe. But surely with so many issues on both sides I don’t see how any fan on either side can have any degree of confidence of a win. Hope more than expectation is the best we do!
