We’ve posted several predictions articles over the last couple of days, for the upcoming weekend of Autumn International fixtures. You can find links to them all below, as well as a more complete range of predictions for the fixtures across the weekend.
Scotland vs Tonga
The weekend kicks off up in Kilmarnock, where Scotland will attempt to build on all the fine work they have done over the last two weekends against Argentina and New Zealand. They know a loss to Tonga, who beat them back in 2012, would undo all of that, however. Calum Gillon is backing them to finish the autumn with a flourish – Scotland to win by 18.
Ireland vs Australia
Ireland can feel similarly positive about their autumn campaign, and are looking to make it a clean sweep against the Wallabies this weekend. They were comfortably outplayed in this fixture last year, however, and despite losing in France last weekend Australia arrive with a side packed full of game-breaking talent. No matter, says David Blair, who says they’ll ride the wave and predicting Ireland to win by 5.
Wales vs New Zealand
Wales did not impress against Fiji last weekend and need, above all else, to put in a good performance against the All Blacks. They will enter the game with no fear and several of them have spoken of feeling like New Zealand are a way from their best at the moment. Can they surprise them on the last game of a gruelling yearly schedule for the All Blacks, as England did in 2012 and Ireland were within 10 seconds of doing last year? Mike Cooper thinks they’ll push them close but ultimately come away with a loss, predicting New Zealand to win by 6.
England vs Samoa
And finally we come to England, who, like Wales, are in desperate need of not just a win, but a complete performance. They take on a Samoa team who, while undoubtedly talented, should present a good chance for them to get their autumn’s first win. All eyes will be on George Ford and Owen Farrell in the midfield, and Jamie Hosie thinks the hosts will come away with a win, predicting England to win by 15.

How do you see the weekend unfolding?

Surely Wales won’t be the ABs. Your margin for the Italy vs SA game is surely too low. I think Tonga will push Scotland a lot closer than that. Romania vs Canada and Georgia vs Japan are both hard to pick, but I have gone with the away teams.

Surely hope not!
Hutch wins. Hosie loses. imo..
Stop calling me Shirley. Waaaaaaaay.
Would dearly love Wales to get the win (I’m an Englishman btw) but this All Blacks side is a bit special. Have a feeling my beloved England will come unstuck if they aren’t switched on for this one.
Go on Argentina!! I love how people always underestimate them and they have a knack for beating France! Heavily enjoyed the game – even though I had to watch it on a stream..
Hosie wins.
