Join our European Rugby Champions Cup fantasy league

superbruThe good folk over at SuperBru have launched an exciting new Fantasy Lite game for the upcoming European Rugby Champions Cup, so naturally we’ve set up a league for The Rugby Blog (details below).

The SuperBru site describes Fantasy Lite thus:

Fantasy Lite aims to bridge the gap between the complexity of full fantasy games and the simplicity of results prediction games. Each week of the tournament, you’ll pick the players who you reckon will perform the best, and you’ll be rewarded with points by a fantasy-style scoring model.

There is no squad management and no starting line-ups – each week you simply pick players from our groupings, called bands. The game is significantly less time-consuming than standard fantasy games, and also less expensive to operate with far smaller data requirements.

Given the paucity of fantasy games around, we’re really excited to give this one a go – especially when you consider the stellar cast of names to choose from each week. Here’s an example of two of the five ‘bands’ you can choose players from”
