This horrendous stamp to the face of an opposition player will surely see Yoann Huget banned through the World Cup and beyond:

As you know by now, we are hilarious, and you should be following us on Facebook and Twitter. Google+ seems like a waste of time, so no need to worry about that.
Not completely sure it’s intentional. He looks genuinely concerned when the guy stays down, and it’s possible he’s slipped as he gets up with the other player still holding his legs?
Ouch! Not sure I share your perspective on his intention Dazza. Looks naughty to me.
Moi Aussi Dazza, looks a deliberate firm stamp down and then he realised just how bad it was and only then became concerned.
After watching it again I think you’re right. Heat of the moment reaction, and then suddenly the realisation hits, and he realises what he’s done.
Anyone know how bad the injury was?
It’s the acceleration of the leg down that gives it away as a stamp. It looks terrible, but I don’t imagine (or hope) he intended to mash the guy in the face, maybe ‘just’ the torso. At best it’s incredibly reckless and at worst incredibly malicious. Either way, I don’t think he’s not going to the WC.
That wasn’t meant to be a double negative! To clarify, I think he’ll miss the WC.
He wasn’t cited. In fact, the citing period ended before this article was published.
Besides, I’d imagine that his ban would have finished just before France’s first meaningful World Cup game. That’s how these things work, don’t they?
