Michael Cheika has selected the Australia squad that will welcome England for a three test tour this summer. With 10 uncapped players in the squad, there are plenty of surprise inclusions and omissions.
James Horwill is recalled to the squad after missing the World Cup, despite being based in London with Harlequins. Uncapped number eight Leroy Houston, who recently confirmed a move back to Queensland Reds from Bath next season, is another Premiership face in the mix.
Of the 10 uncapped players, Brumbies scrum-half Joe Powell – currently third choice at his club – is the biggest shock. Reds centre Samu Kerevi, and league converts Karmichael Hunt and Eto Nabuli, are included for the first time, along with teammate and scrum-half Nick Frisby.
Western Force fullback Dane Haylett-Petty and back-row Adam Coleman could also win their first caps, along with Brumbies prop Alan Ala’alatoa and lock Rory Arnold. Giant Glasgow winger Taqele Naiyaravoro is another overseas based played to be included, although like Houston he is returning to Australia next season.
The Wallabies have their injury issues – particularly in the backs, where Matt Toomua, Kurtley Beale, Henry Speight and Joe Tomane are all unavailable – but the make-up of the squad has certainly come as something of a surprise.
Cheika also confirmed that Top 14-based players Matt Giteau, Will Genia, Adam Ashley-Cooper and Drew Mitchell would not be in contention for the June tests, but would be available for the Rugby Championship later this year.

As you know by now, we are hilarious, and you should be following us on Facebook and Twitter.
I think if England dont do well against this squad then a few questions would be asked!
Well looking at who Aus have missing from their back line I would say this is Englands best chance of beating them in a test series for some time. Without the likes of Genia, Giteau, Toomua, Beale, Ashley-Cooper and Mitchell they will be a very different team to the one we faced in the World Cup.
That said many of the replacements were all strongly pushing for inclusion prior to the world cup and many were considered unlucky to miss out
Genia out Frisby in
Toomua out Leilifano in
Beale out Kerevi/Hunt in
Ashley-Cooper out Naiyavoro in
No direct replacements for Genia or Mitchell thou
That said, the back three is where I know the least about the call ups, can anyone tell me more about Haylett-Petty, Nabuli, Morahan & Harris
Haylett-Petty used to play for Biaritz and was never that noticable, he seems to have upped his game significantly since signing for Western Force though, more so considering they are quite a poor side and he still does well.
Don’t know much about the others
