Michael Cheika has named his Wallaby team for his first test in charge on Australian soil. Matt Giteau makes his return to the international side for the first time in four years, and there is arguably an even more astonishing return from the wilderness as prop Greg Holmes is included on the bench, eight years after winning his last cap.
Reds duo Will Genia and Quade Cooper are preferred at half-back on their home turf in Brisbane, with Waratah playmakers Bernard Foley and Kurtley Beale not even in the squad. Drew Mitchell, like Giteau, could make his return from the bench, meaning hulking Fijian Taqele Naiyaravoro will have to wait for his first Wallaby cap.
Michael Hooper is preferred to David Pocock on the openside, although the Brumbies’ flanker is named on the bench and is another who could make his return after a spell in the wilderness, albeit caused by injury in this case.

As you know by now, we are hilarious, and you should be following us on Facebook and Twitter.
This team depends on cooper getting his game going, which in turn depends on if the forwards get can get momentum and quick ball. Kuridrani could have a field day against Kriel!
Australia have one of the most exciting backlines going but against a well organised defence and powerful forward pack they always struggle. My concern is that when England play them in the RWC they will try to play expansive attacking rugby which will play into their hands.
As far as the rugby championship is concerned I think there is a good chance they go home with the wooden spoon as all their opponents are capable of nullifying their game and they face SA and NZ at home while travelling to ARG.
It will be interesting to see how much of a difference it makes having a cool head like Giteau in that backline
Naiyaravoro will honour his Glasgow contract says his agent:
